What is Missional Church?

This Workshop introduces the basic concepts around why a missional DNA is needed in a time of change that profoundly affects churches and leaders. The workshop assists people understand the frameworks, skills and capacities needed for effective mission in neighborhoods and communities.

Using the imagery of changing maps, this Workshop will:

  1. Introduce basic ideas of:
    1. Dwelling in the Word
    2. Discontinuous change
    3. What it means to be in a period of transition
    4. What it meant by the term missional
  2. Provide resources from Old and New Testaments to understand how God might be working in and through our own experiences of change.
  3. Discover the stages involved in the Missional Change Model.
  4. Understand the concrete steps a local church might take to start the journey of missional transformation.
  5. See the basic tools used for the innovation of mission-shaped life in a local church.

This 1, 2 or 3-day event gives people tools to understand they’re experience of change, connects them with biblical resources and outlines how a church innovates missional life.
